Sandplay therapy is a form of expressive therapy that is often used with children, and it is equally effective for adults and teens. This non-verbal expressive therapy allows a person to construct his or her own microcosm using miniature figures and sand. The scene created acts as a reflection of the person’s inner life and allows him or her the opportunity to resolve conflicts, remove obstacles, and gain acceptance of self.

Often the hands will solve a mystery that the intellect has struggled with in vain.
